About the Camp Site

Blakeley Lane is an Eco friendly training and camping facility, set in Sherwood Forest, only 4 miles from the Major Oak and 4.2 miles from Sherwood Pines.

Having been a Scout and Guide camp since the 1950s, the site specialises in traditional camping experiences, for recreational organisations such as Scout, Guides, YMCA and Camping Club full list.

The site has been renovated using natural materials that are not only pleasing on the eye but also on the environment. Having recently been granted planning permission to build 2 Cob Pods and 1 Larger Cob Dorm (to sleep 16), we offer a range of Cob courses to introduce you and your group to the traditional method of Cob construction.

So if you are interested in making your mark in Sherwood Forest without making your mark on the environment, In firing up a clay pizza oven and enjoying freshly baked pizza around an open fire, within the beautiful surrounds of Sherwood Forest, then Blakeley Lane is the campsite for you.
